Nancy Spaulding has been working with pastels for the last six years. She works mainly on heavy archival papers that are coated with acrylic color and pumice gel. She truly enjoys this process and feels that it is an essential step in the creation of what follows—many layers of rich color that convey the majesty and wonder of the original landscape experience.
