Nancy’s poem Above the Straits was one of 30 poems chosen out of 271 submissions to Friday Harbor's first poetry contest. Winners were announced in February 2020 and were published in the booklet Friday Harbor Poetry Gardens. The poems were also displayed on plaques throughout Friday Harbor’s public garden areas which makes a delightful walk through town.
